Weight watchers points question…

Okay I have a question for those of you following the Weight Watchers points plan. I am now down to 35 points that I am suppose to be using for the day. I just finished working on my menu for the week and well I can’t even seem to get to 30 points each day let a lone 35. I am ending up with about 27-29 points per day. Do I have to use them all?? If so any suggestions for getting them all in? I have stopped eating after 7pm at night and I used to eat the extra points that were left for a snack after dinner.  The problem is that I am eating a lot already and can’t even imagine eating more during the day. What do I do????

4 pounds away from my next mini goal

It has been a good week. I am down 2 pounds and feeling great. I am only 4 pounds away from my next mini goal. I can’t tell you when I weighed 274 last. It is still a big number, and I can’t wait to see it smaller.

I found out this week that they are starting a walking club at the school where I work two days a week for the kids after school. I was so excited! I think I am going to volunteer to help with the club. I could get in my exercise for the day and not have to do it alone. Plus I think I would be a good example for the kids that you should exercise, that even fat people need to do it! I just think it is going to be a great thing. I just have to find out when they are going to start the club and what days it will be to make sure that it doesn’t conflict with other stuff I have to do.

Challenge yourself to drop 10 pounds by April 25th….

Well, I have taken part in two challenges since I started coming to this website and both of them helped me loose 10 pounds each. The first one was the Valentine’s day challenge started by Nicole and then I started the Easter challenge which just ended. I was asked by a couple of people who were in the Easter challenge with me what was next, so……….

I couldn’t think of any thing really special going on next month so I just picked a date one month from now.  I am calling this the challenge yourself to drop 10 pounds  by April 25th challenge.  If you would like to be part of the challenge, all you have to do is let me know and then give me your starting weight. Then you have to let me know once a week on lets say Sundays how much you have lost for the week. The goal of the challenge is to loose at least 10 pounds by April 25th. I like having these goals to work for, they have been helping me a lot and they helped other people too. So if you are serious about joining this challenge, let me know and start loosing! I am going to leave the challenge open to 10 people, I can’t keep track of too many people at once. I work full time and would go crazy trying to keep track of more than 10. Easter Challenge Ends!

Well it has been a month and we have worked really hard to meet our goals. The Easter challenge was that we would loose 10 pounds by Easter, and it is Easter! How did you do???

I didn’t think that I was going to make it, but I did!!! I weighed in again this morning and found that I lost another pound since yesterday to bring me up to my 10 pounds! I am so excited! I made the 10 pounds for the Valentine’s day challenge started by mu Buddy Nicole and now 10 pounds for my challenge.

I hope that you all have a great Easter and don’t eat too many Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies!

what a wonderful feeling….

I am feeling like a million bucks tonight. I went grocery shopping tonight and decided to stop at the local K-Mart store next to the Grocery store. I was wandering around the store and decided to go and try on a size 22 jeans because my current size 24 jeans have been feeling really loose. I really didn’t go to the store to try on clothes let alone a size 22. Well my husband waited outside the fitting room door I tried on the first pair of 22s, and they didn’t fit. I was like well I guess I am just not ready for a size 22 yet. Then something inside me said try the other pair on, which I did. And much to my surprise they FIT!!! I could fit in a size 22. I just about cried in the fitting room! I can’t remember a time when I could fit in a 22. I don’t even think that in highschool I could fit in a size that small. I am in shock and on cloud nine! I know to some it might not sound like a huge accomplishment, but to me it means so much!

I decided to buy the jeans, of course how could I not! And I have decided to wear them on Easter when my whole family is over at my house and ask each of them what they think! I know jeans is not a typical Easter outfit but this year for me they will be! I am so proud of myself and how far I have come!
Buddies, don’t give up!  If I can do this then anyone can do this!!!!

Easter Challengers!

Hey All,

I just wanted to remind my fellow Easter Challengers that this is your last week to loose your 10 pounds. I need to know how all of you did by Sunday night. I have 3 more pounds to go and hopefully I will loose them before Sunday. Good luck to you all..

Kickball….

Today was a great day in more than one way. I teach 5th grade and during my break at work today, my coworker and I went for a long walk, it was such a great day outside. Then my class has recess after lunch, and we have to take the kids outside. Well we decided to play kickball and I played with them. I managed to run around all the bases! I made it to home base, running!!! I never thought that I could do that., I was so shocked! I wasn’t even out of breath! I felt great after playing outside with my students and especially when they were cheering me on and giving me high fives! They asked me to play again on Monday! Little do they know that they are helping me to reach my goal!

I weigh in tomorrow and hope that all my hard work this past week show in my weigh in. Good luck to all of you!

I realized today while I was planning out my weekly menu,  that I have been dieting and working out now for over 2 months straight.I have been doing great and it is in great part due to all your support and motivation! I don’t know how I would have gotten through this without reading your blogs and messaging all of my buddies. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.

I also realized today that I don’t crave bad food any more. My husband today was eating ice cream and sure it looked good, but I didn’t want  it,not like I would have before. I would have sat down and eaten the whole half gallon with him. No not, any more I was content to have my sugar free, fat free fudge pop. I guess it was that aw ha moment in my life, that ice cream he was having wasn’t worth eating to me. What is worth it is seeing the scale continue to drop lower and lower. I can’t remember when I was this weight last, and it makes me feel great.

I read some of your blogs and you talk about falling off the wagon, that was so me before. I would do that and not get back on, but so far this time I haven’t done that. I haven’t found a bump in my road. I don’t know what is different this time,  but what ever it is I am sure glad that it is there.

Question for all you buddy slimmers…

Hi Buddy slimmers!

I was just wondering if anyone else has been feeling worn out since they started dieting? I have been exercising and eating right for about 3 months now, and I have been so tired some days that I fall asleep on the couch at like 8:30pm. Now mind you I do have an hour commute one way for work everyday M-F.  So I have long days. However, I also have sleep apnea and use a C-Pap machine when I sleep, so I should be getting enough sleep. But I have noticed since I have been dieting and exercising I have been super tired some nights( well most nights). I thought that I would have more energy!

Should I be taking vitamins? I do take a multi-vitamin already, should I be taking something else? What is making me feel so exhausted? Any help and advice would be appreciated!

Hey Buddies, after the week I had…I met my Second Mini goal!

I am happy to say that even though I had a horrible week with being in the accident on Wednesday and not being able to do much physically for a couple days I managed to be able to loose 3 pounds. I have now met and gone past my second mini goal! I normally don’t weigh in until Sunday, but I joined the Heartbreakers and had to weigh in today. I will weigh in again tomorrow just to see if I actually lost any more than I already saw on the scale this morning wouldn’t that be great!

I was excited to share that even with the pain from my accident I was able to use my elliptical last night for 20 minutes. I am paying for it today however and I don’t think I will be able to get on it today. We shall see. I was so excited when I saw the time on the clock had reached 20 minutes! I had only been able to do 13 minutes at maximum, and now 20!!!!! I was also able to walk at the beginning of this week for about 2 miles a day, until my accident, and the horrible weather might have something to do with it :) We are in for a horrible storm this weekend here in Buffalo! But what else is new this is winter and I am in Buffalo. The weather hit last night and it has been snowing almost all night. I was hoping to get out to the store for some groceries, we are out of fresh fruit and veggies and of course other things!
