Doctor’s appointment update….
Okay so I had my doctor’s appointment today. I was thrilled with the shock in my doctor’s face when he saw me. He couldn’t get over how good I looked and how much weight I lost. He was happy with my progress. He told me to keep doing what ever it was that I was doing cuz it was working. He also lowered my evening dose of meds from 2 pills to 1 pill at dinner time! He wants to see how that goes for a while and then if the numbness and stuff in my arms doesn’t start to go away on it’s own then he wants to run some testsĀ to rule out stuff.
I couldn’t be happier, well wait I could be.. I wish I had the money to make an appointment with the doctor that told me that I would never loose the weight on my own. I want her to see how far I have come and how great I feel. I think I will save my money and make an appointment at the end of the summer to see her. Then I will be even lighter and I can shove it in her face and show her she was wrong.
It’s been a great day!!! Thank you to all who posted words of encouragement on my last blog! It means a lot to have your support!!
She will probably credit herself with motivating you LOL - silly people! So satsisfying when your doc sees you getting healthier! We need those pats on the back
And in fact, to be honest, didn’t she motivate you? Julie, I’m so glad your visit to dr went well. It’s soooo rewarding when anyone notices, but your doctor…somehow that is the best! Mine is so supportive, and yet he never told me I needed to lose weight. I asked him about that and he said the last thing I needed was someone telling me what I already knew. I guess he figured I had heard it all before. (and I had) Well, the next thing you know you’ll be telling us all you’re pregnant!

I am so happy for you Julie. I am glad the appt. went well!

That’s great. Your personal victory. I bet you inspired your doctor to talk to other patients about your success and encourage them to lose weight.
Ahh, the best revenge is to live a great, healthy, skinny and happy life.
Congratulations!
I wouldn’t pay her…I would just go by the office and show her! And explain to her that telling someone they can’t is not encouraging…and that she was wrong to not believe in you!
Way to go!
Good job on being a healthier you. I just love it when the doctors says he’s happy with your progress. -Dee
