What is wrong wthe stores, and my body…..
WEll I spent the day shopping yesterday with my mom. WE were trying to find me some new clothes for when I go back to work seeing as all my current pants are too big. WEll I had no luck. Sure I found pants that would fit, but then the length was like 3 inches too long and I don’t wear heels! I wasn’t about to pay $40-$50 a pair a pants and then have to shorten them myself. That I think would be a waste. I can’t seem to find pants that are the right length, not even the petite pants are short enough.
Then to top off my day yesterday, I was stupid and got on the scale this morning. WEll the scale told me that I have gained 10 pounds! I don’t see how that is possible, I have been working hard and following my diet. I just don’t get it. I have been having these cramps now for days, but I have no period, and this was suppose to be the month I skipped seeing as my cycles are not regular. I don’t understand what is happening to my body. All I know is that I keeping thinking that TOM is suppose to be here or something, but it’s not. I just don’t think I gained 10 pounds in so little time especially since I have been staying on points and exercising. ARRGH!!!!!!! Sorry for the vent, I just wish I knew what is causing these cramps!! And why they don’t make pants for short people!
Hey, I understand your struggle. I’m petite too and it’s hard shopping for clothes. That’s why I’m not a shopper period - only buy what I have to when I have to.
I made a pledge to not get on the scale for a month. I’ve been at a plateau for 6 weeks and it’s killing me slowly. So scale is gone but still focused on my routine. I find I’m more at peace that way.
Not sure why you would show a 10 lb gain. Did you check to make sure your scale is calibrated and is right on 0 before stepping on?

Hey Julie..that would be my thought too..to check the scale.
If you get really concerned, you might want to call your doctor. I am not sure what would cause a 10 lb gain in such a short period of time…I dont even think water weight is ever that much but that still wouldnt explain all your cramps.
I always have the opposite problem with pants. I need them a little longer than what I usually find in stores. But I do understand..it is aggravating.
Hang in there lady
I’m short too… 5′1 and the more I lose the longer the pants get. Maybe you should do like I do, shop online. (like LandsEnd) Then you can order the length you need. Or just resign yourself to having to come home and hem them. I do that a lot. I know you hate to pay so much, then alter them yourself, but what are ya gonna do? Shop at WalMart, or Target, or even Good Will or Value Village. Cheaper there, and you’ll be buying smaller ones soon anyway.
I’m sorry to hear that. I think everyone on here knows that that’s the most frustrating thing about losing weight, when your still doing all of the hard work, and the scale is acting screwy. I would try to find another scale to check it out,or,like khmerbeauty said, not get on it for awhile. Advice that is usually given too is that muscle weighs more than fat,so I’ll throw that one out there. Even though it’s true,it doesn’t make me feel any better. Like you said,it could most likely be ol’TOM’s fault. Just don’t get discouraged,I know it’s hard right now,but this when you’ve got to stay strong! You can do it!
Hang in there, girl!

I am with Sandy on shopping at places where you don’t have to spend so much while you are losing. I buy alot of my stuff right now at thrift shops, I have bought every day stuff and nicer stuff too. I don’t have to dress up for my job, but I like to dress nice other times.
Big HUGS!
I feel for ya girl…I love shopping..but hate shopping for clothes for me. I have the opposite problem…It so hard to find pants that are long enough. I am only 5′9…not super tall or anything. I wished it was easier on clothes for ALL of us!!
Hey Julie. I hate clothes shopping too I can never find anything to fit - maybe we could cut the excess off yours and add it to mine! Remember that your whole body has to adjust to your weightloss - not just the fat stores & muscle, but I agree with Tiffany if you’re concerned about the cramps and they carry on, go and get it checked out.
